Better clumping – Combines the strong clumping of bentonite with the binding ability of tofu, forming hard, non-sticky clumps.
Superior odor control – Bentonite traps ammonia quickly, while tofu absorbs moisture and releases natural deodorizing properties (often enhanced with charcoal or green tea).
Lower dust – Less dust than pure clay litter, though slightly more than 100% tofu litter.
Faster absorption – Bentonite absorbs liquid instantly; tofu locks it in, reducing surface wetness.
Less tracking – The mixed particle sizes help reduce tracking compared to fine clay alone.
Flushable (partial) – Most mixed litters are not 100% flushable due to bentonite clay, but some “eco-mixed” versions allow limited flushing (check label).
Economical – Usually cheaper than premium pure tofu litter, while performing better than plain clay.
